Transport management platform delivered around real operational modules.
Logistics & Transport case study
A responsive transport platform that gave a freight company real-time control of its entire operation.
A leading freight company operating across Central and South-Eastern Europe managed a large fleet of heavy goods vehicles with fragmented tools, no unified operational view, and no real-time visibility into fleet location, load status, or driver compliance. Eleco Technologies delivered a custom transport management system in four months — connecting fleet tracking, route planning, driver records, customer operations, and financial reporting into a single responsive web application used daily by dispatch, finance, and management teams.

Client challenge
What the organisation needed to solve
The client needed to move beyond spreadsheets and disconnected tools. Fleet tracking, route planning, driver HR records, compliance documents, order management, customer data, and financial reporting were all handled separately. This fragmentation slowed decision-making, increased fuel costs, and made it difficult to manage driver schedules, vehicle maintenance, and load fulfilment across a large fleet operating in multiple countries. The platform also needed to be accessible on both desktop and mobile devices to support engineers and dispatchers working in the field.
Eleco Technologies solution
How the platform addressed the problem
Eleco Technologies built a custom responsive web application with dedicated modules for every operational function: real-time fleet tracking, route planning and scheduling, load and order management, driver HR and compliance records, CRM with a client blacklist feature, and real-time financial reporting at the company, vehicle, and customer level. The Node.js backend handled multiple concurrent real-time requests, and the responsive front end gave all user types — dispatch, HR, finance, and management — the views they needed on any device.
Delivery model
Structured engineering delivery with clear team, timeline, and stack evidence.
Team composition
2 backend engineers
2 frontend engineers
1 QA engineer
Delivery approach
Structured the build around five operational modules — fleet, HR, sales, finance, and operations — so each department got purpose-built views rather than a single generic dashboard.
Combined two backend engineers, two frontend engineers, and one QA engineer in an integrated delivery team to ship a production-ready platform within four months.
Prioritised real-time data consistency across modules so fleet tracking, driver status, order fulfilment, and financial reporting always reflected the same operational state.
Technology stack
Measured outcomes
Operational results that make the engagement commercially credible.
Delivered a single responsive platform connecting fleet tracking, route planning, driver management, CRM, order management, and financial reporting.
Improved fleet utilisation and delivery times through real-time tracking and route optimisation, contributing to reduced fuel costs.
Streamlined cross-department communication between operations, management, and finance, enabling faster response times and better-informed decisions.
Transformed the freight company into a technology-enabled organisation, increasing its EBITDA multiplier when it later sold part of the business — with development costs capitalised in its accounting system.
"We really enjoyed this collaboration. My colleague Dan Pop's transport management expertise allowed us to understand the client's needs much better and implement them exactly as required. With the help of our team of web application engineers, we created a solution that has benefited the client both financially and in their daily operations."
